Why would keeping the current contract increase the possibility of furloughs? I haven't heard anyone mention this yet.

I’d argue a SWA pilot should make way more than a NB cargo pilot. My cargo buddies spent several years bragging about how cargo is le crème with zero pax/fa nonsense and the easiest job in the world. Well apparently management agrees and now it will pay accordingly!

I would argue that hubris got us into this pickle, management seeing this, coming after our pay and QOL, because after all we still have the best vacation in the industry.

but I wonder, how is the lifespan of a fdx pilot flying night hub turns for decades, transitioning day to night and night to day in 24 hours, doing it again 24 hours later?

if this passes, rest assured that the hubris will be wet leased away with the rest of the cargo. and we’ll get for it pennies on the dollar.
