The YES voters who had no problem with the large majority of gains being focused on a small group while the right seat and more junior absorbed the QOL losses, are now mad and actually want people to be furloughed. Unreal and shameful.

This is really something to watch the old guys take a first-class ticket on the same fear train that has prevented them from ever fighting for anything at FDX.
If the company refuses to be industry standard then it's not a job worth having.
This business that furloughs were somehow tied to our vote is an absolute red herring concocted as part of the sell-job. The company will furlough if they're going to furlough and they won't if they weren't going to.

I have a good schedule here that people like you just tried to give away on this TA! I'll stick around for TA 2.0 and if that one still sucks I'll vote no again and then leave. Hopefully you'll be gone before TA 2.0 comes around. You better hope management hurries up. Another 200ish yes voters will probably retire and another 600 + pilots with some stones will be eligible to vote on the next TA. Enjoy your retirement Boomer! Call me if you need to borrow some $!

Absolutely shameful (downright unconscionable) to say we voted for a furlough and to wish that upon a coworker. For once, FDX pilots stood their ground and said “we deserve more”. No one- I repeat- no one voted for a furlough. We voted to have an industry leading contract, pay rates, and retirement. Blame our MEC and NC for leading you astray with bogus sales tactics. Shame on you.

They (posters above) can call for furlough all they want but we are already seeing folks ready to step up for leadership roles to take us to the next challenging step.
This TA was so divisive that it brought so many ringers among us who showed strength, fortitude and patience to get us to this point. We saw folks get deep down into the details, ask hard questions and never let up on the messaging.
One great example: remember the pay charts that had our high BLG against legacy averages. Those inaccuracies were discovered and highlighted by a line pilot, who showed detailed work on why they were terrible comparisons.
Parting thought, if furloughs were as serious as they (they =Union) say we would have never had a TA that had a tiered retirement bump that would see more pilots stay on longer at the highest end of the earning spectrum and waste capital on raising NH pay by 65%. What we did have was a substandard concessionary document that would have allowed the company to decrease the MSL thru regular rates of retirement and attrition as the company ramp up partner lift (as stated in company’s public financial documents) on our way to being the next top tier ACMI.
