next vote on the TA will be a completely different demographic. 200 less senior pilots. Nearly all of those junior pilots who could not vote due to probation will be able to vote. They have been grinding their axes and eating rocky road ice cream …. Wonder what the survey will find. So what if it takes another year or 2 …. Get it right. The fact that they wanted us to address scope next contract was insane. $1000 / hr means nothing if you don’t have a job. As long as retirement went up and out the door….

they will be dealing with heir from the 5th panzer division, this time round, need better than the typical ALPA clowns. Don’t need art to read his pre written script, that scope guy to make the ‘costs twice as much and is 15-20 percent less reliable”…. Company has changed. The pilot demographic has changed and are very demanding, have all the time in the world to get this right…. Leaving ALPA and joining our UPS brotherhood seems the way ahead. Looking at the numbers over half the company has been on property less than 6 years and are much younger in age. The days of meet me at the computer so you can log on, the CA signs, and prints somewhere days are over…. Welcome to the early 2000s gramps

along all this mess that just happened… at some point there needs to be a true criminal investigation of accepting gifts, bribes by union officials, in promise by company “in exchange for”. NC definitely had at least 1 compulsive liar. Company seemingly negotiating in bad faith, but hey, our disputes are handled by the only person who answers the phone at the MEC, CE, who in all his paralegal days gets his wrists permanently tied to his ankles….

in short, what we will get and become is better than what we are and would have gotten. We were rock bottom. Why couldn’t we wait until September for the mediator ? Really? I’d peal that onion back, there is more to it. Multibillion dollar CBA is all the motive needed. I know some parties have already stepped forward in hopes to get leniency, in exchange for cooperation to avoid general population …. This one will go down for a true b rated movie casting Nicholas cage and that guy from Fargo wood chipper scene for sure

so in closing , I don’t want Fop da##mit! I’m a DapperDan man!

Your group definitely deserves the DapperDan, but be highly cognizant that your latest “new hire” will try to force Fop down your gullet. Fight! Fight! Fight! regardless if this becomes a geographical oddity, two years from anywhere…good.

4. Any hope of being released by the NMB is gone at this point. You have no leverage, You have no ability to affect the Company, no way to bring them to their knees.
5. You are owed nothing by the company, all of you air wh***’s took your 200% and made $700k,$800k,$900k,$1M. Your “sacrifices “ what a joke.

Well here we are, 7 months later! I said that I would repost this, I wanted to give the purported intellects and influential rabble rousers the opportunity to bury themselves and they have not disappointed!
Are we looking at TA 2? NO! Has the "Recall and Replace" group taken over? YES! Have they accomplished anything other than totally destroying the MEC, Officers and Negotiating Committee? NO! I know sour grapes on my part, get out of the past and start focusing on the future, you say! One small problem with the pithy previous comments and soon upcoming retorts regarding my observations; YOU WERE WRONG!
There will be absolutely none of the following in any TA that the gaggle in charge at this time (Cutler, Workman, Comer, Turner, Watson, Gomez, Holmes, Beckwith, plus all the anonymous posters on this site and JetFlyer)

1. DELTA PAY RATES approx $470. Not going to get it!
2. 100% RETRO PAY. Zero chance of that happening!
3. IRS 415C MAXIMUM FOR THE A PLAN CALCULATION AND A 20% COC. A pipe dream from the beginning, but hey promise the moon!
4. A SCOPE CLAUSE THAT GUARANTEES THERE NEVER WILL BE A FURLOUGH AND THAT IS ENFORCEABLE OUTSIDE OF THE U.S.A. No chance of this either!
5. A VACCINATION CLAUSE THAT ALLOWS YOU TO DECLINE THE SHOT, BUT COLLECT 100% PAY FOR THE LINE YOU BID. A true pipe-dream!

No one was weak, No one sold out, No one was a Company shill; there was no deception on the part of our Union Representatives, the Negotiating Chairman did not LIE to us, no deception was enmployed by all of the dedicated FDX union volunteers, who are all pilots, who are all on the same seniority list, who fly the same trips and work under the same contract!
SO WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL OF THIS? YOU KNOW WHO THEY ARE! A FEW HAVE COME OUT OF THE SHADOWS, BUT THE VAST MAJORITY ARE STILL WAITING IN THE WEEDS. THEY WILL BE THE ONES WHO DENEGRATE THIS POST THE MOST. They are the deceivers and half-truth tellers, they used social-media to promise you the moon, a contract that was going to give you everything you ever wanted, they invented false narratives that envisioned furloughs and throwing the junior pilot under the bus! Senior pilots just wanted theirs and more, and would do anything to get it and at all costs.

How did they do this? They instilled mis-trust within the pilot group and then turned everyone into One Issue voters! All the educated posters and pundits on this website and others were nothing but patsy's for the true cabal that was working behind the scenes to get their way, and now they have it. To what end remains to be seen, but rest assured that this nightmare will not be over anytime soon. We have embarassed ourselves by upping the total contract ask by over one billlion dollars, we have disregarded the mediator's directives at the table and soon we will seek Arbitration or Release from the NMB. Sadly when it is all said and done we will have left many of our friends and fellow pilot's behind, we all will have lost financial opportunities from lost wages, lost B plan contributions etc. that we will never recoup or recover. We will throw those no longer with us under the proverbial bus and grimly say sorry. But the real tradgedy will be that those responsible for this debacle will slither back into the weeds feigning that they didn't get the support to acheive their promises, shifting all blame from themselves to phantom persons or groups and they will have no accountability for any of this; I hope we all remember who they are/were and that they know, that we know, who and what they are and what they did!

I take no joy in this and it definitely does not make up for mine or anyones financial losses, the reality is that we will all be fortunate if we can have a contract in 2-3 more years.

Dude, the “new guard” (consisting of members from all blocks) MEC just got the majority. Blame the last 7 months on those that fought the will of the majority for new union leadership. They put up a heck of a pointless fight though. You have nobody but the old MEC members to blame. Welcome to your new ALPA I truly hope you get an awesome retirement bump while the rest of us get some job security and real QOL improvements.

One small problem with the pithy previous comments and soon upcoming retorts regarding my observations; YOU WERE WRONG!
There will be absolutely none of the following in any TA that the gaggle in charge at this time (Cutler, Workman, Comer, Turner, Watson, Gomez, Holmes, Beckwith, plus all the anonymous posters on this site and JetFlyer)

1. DELTA PAY RATES approx $470. Not going to get it!
2. 100% RETRO PAY. Zero chance of that happening!
3. IRS 415C MAXIMUM FOR THE A PLAN CALCULATION AND A 20% COC. A pipe dream from the beginning, but hey promise the moon!
4. A SCOPE CLAUSE THAT GUARANTEES THERE NEVER WILL BE A FURLOUGH AND THAT IS ENFORCEABLE OUTSIDE OF THE U.S.A. No chance of this either!
5. A VACCINATION CLAUSE THAT ALLOWS YOU TO DECLINE THE SHOT, BUT COLLECT 100% PAY FOR THE LINE YOU BID. A true pipe-dream!
6, NO ONE LEFT BEHIND, ALL RETIREES INCLUDED FROM AMENDABLE DATE! Really, all the above plus this?

No one was weak, No one sold out, No one was a Company shill; there was no deception on the part of our Union Representatives, the Negotiating Chairman did not LIE to us, no deception was enmployed by all of the dedicated FDX union volunteers, who are all pilots, who are all on the same seniority list, who fly the same trips and work under the same contract!
SO WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL OF THIS? YOU KNOW WHO THEY ARE! A FEW HAVE COME OUT OF THE SHADOWS, BUT THE VAST MAJORITY ARE STILL WAITING IN THE WEEDS. THEY WILL BE THE ONES WHO DENEGRATE THIS POST THE MOST. They are the deceivers and half-truth tellers, they used social-media to promise you the moon, a contract that was going to give you everything you ever wanted, they invented false narratives that envisioned furloughs and throwing the junior pilot under the bus! Senior pilots just wanted theirs and more, and would do anything to get it and at all costs.

How did they do this? They instilled mis-trust within the pilot group and then turned everyone into One Issue voters! All the educated posters and pundits on this website and others were nothing but patsy's for the true cabal that was working behind the scenes to get their way, and now they have it. To what end remains to be seen, but rest assured that this nightmare will not be over anytime soon. We have embarassed ourselves by upping the total contract ask by over one billlion dollars, we have disregarded the mediator's directives at the table and soon we will seek Arbitration or Release from the NMB. Sadly when it is all said and done we will have left many of our friends and fellow pilot's behind, we all will have lost financial opportunities from lost wages, lost B plan contributions etc. that we will never recoup or recover. We will throw those no longer with us under the proverbial bus and grimly say sorry. But the real tradgedy will be that those responsible for this debacle will slither back into the weeds feigning that they didn't get the support to acheive their promises, shifting all blame from themselves to phantom persons or groups and they will have no accountability for any of this; I hope we all remember who they are/were and that they know, that we know, who and what they are and what they did!

I take no joy in this and it definitely does not make up for mine or anyones financial losses, the reality is that we will all be fortunate if we can have a contract in 2-3 more years.

Enjoy the retirement you failed to fix. Makes me happy you're retiring with nothing more. You failed to fix anything for every contract you were on property for and right before retirment, you wanted to sell the rest of us out for a bump in pension.

The shortcomings of the last several months lie entirely in PM and his inability to stand by his word and resign, like he said he would. He’s not the man for the job. The company is playing hardball, and he’s too cozy with them + pilot management.

I guess what he did do was single-handedly destroy this airline’s pilot culture for years to come. He’s got that one, at least.

I would have thoroughly enjoyed being a fly in the wall in the Screaming Minority chat yesterday. JF was entertaining at least. Some of you need to remember to take your BP meds.
