Default UPS offering early retirement

I received a text that UPS is offering early retirement for up to 157 Capt and 10 FO’s.

37.5x YOS x your pay rate

doubt FedEx would offer this.

Saving more by dragging out negotiations

FedEx offers an early Retirement w/ Bonuses every year on December 31st.

To be fair, isn’t the FDX offering less than a third of the UPS proposal?

I don’t even know what UPS does as far as sick bank cash out upon retirement.

Any sick bank hours are paid 100% and at current pay rate.

218 hours. There are options to roll over hours each year, but once you hit the max hours, you are paid out in January for the the amount at current hourly rate (we can't bank to infinity, but we never lose the compensation)

To be more clear, we have the option to take anything over 148 sick hours as compensation as pay in January each year, we must notify the company. If we don't opt for this compensation, our sick bank builds to the max of 210 and then anything over is paid out in the subsequent new year. All sick time left over at retirement is paid out at 100%

is this a yearly payout or a lump sum on top of your already existing A-plan?

The formula is the lump sum paid in January for participating and then normal retirement resumes as earned
