Ha. 318 is spot on. I'm glad the block 5 rep did what he did. It opened the curtain so we could see who all the managment sycophants like you are.

And yet the motion failed to recall said "unabomber." Face it, the old guard is retiring and isn't the majority anymore. Sorry. If you haven't realized this isn't the FedEx of old anymore, no one can help you.

I am waiting for the awesome contract from the delusional crowd. I know you will show us old guys how it is done. You are good at getting recalls because you are junior and sitting reserve in memphis and can attend these bogus recall meetings.

You will have the control in the union, so you will not have anyone else to blame when you get a contact you don't like.

Let's see how your hand picked negotiator tells the company how it is going to be. Tough keyboard warriors.

You didn't call it a bogus recall meeting until your team lost. Funny how that works.

It’s as you feel it has to be senior vs junior. We were all on board with each other for TA 1. That failed. The NC chair said it was the best deal he can get us. The junior guys seem to be willing to take PM at his word and want to try someone thats new and maybe less friendly with management. Why are the more senior guys so set on PM staying? Realize that PM isn’t going for a bigger pie right now. He’s resizing slices and since retirement was the largest slice, it’s the one getting butchered right now. I’d rather have someone in there that can get us a new and bigger pie vs PM playing Jason Biggs in American Pie and presenting that to us. (I’m middle seniority so relate a little with both senior and junior)

My predictions are one of two scenarios.

First, PM negotiates contract 1.1 by May 1. It gets voted down by the MEC. (Definitely by the masses if it makes it past the MEC)
Second scenario, PM gets us REALLY REALLY close by May 1 and just needs another few weeks/months Just further can kicking. Whatever PM produces is voted down at a later date.

Either way, the negotiator that gets us a TA 2.0 doesn’t even start until June at the earliest. Could have been last October but the old guard hates change. I’m feeling TA2 will be sometime 2025. Wish and hope I’m wrong though.

I never thought it was junior verses senior until all the keyboard warriors started dumping on the senior pilots and making it a junior verses senior issue. I could quote hundreds of statements on here that none of the posters would say to someones face.

I have always thought of the crew force as one until this summer and fall when the animosty grew against the senior group.

I am not a big fan of PM, but who were you going to replace him with in the fall? Best case was to have him mentor a replacement while trying to get an improved TA. As far as I know no one stepped up.

As for PM just moving numbers around have you been reading the MEC updates? It isn't him doing it it is the company. What reason do they have to put in more money? They would love to drag this all out. CT and his waiting for ten years, the compnay would be happy to keep us at these rates for another ten years.

He sent a TA to the crew force that was unacceptable and it got voted down. Fine thats the system, but the over emotional, spiteful name calling crowd has no place in negotiations. A contract is business, bring in the emotions and you have already lost.

Your timing is probably about right. The unknown is will it be a better contract? Enough to make up what we have been losing every month?

I thought it was bogus to try any recalls for any reps in the first place. Nice job putting words in my mouth. Typical retorts on here.

Not giving up our scope made the no vote a no brainer. That alone sealed the deal.

The rest of the awful deal just made it even easier to live with having to turn down the extra pocket change they were offering in the short term.

We were one decently unified crew force until the company and union decided to drop an extremely divisive TA, and then 2000+ actually voted yes on it instead of standing with their brethren.

Would you have been happy to see TC and CT on the ballot for recall? Something tells me you would have been.

I voted for both of them when they ran. I was happy for them to stay but I did not approve of the recalls to try and grab power.
