FedEx to anywhere else…

That said, I imagine he’s gonna end up just fine. Things will normalize on a long enough timeline in this bizarre, cyclical industry. You’ll just give yourself an ulcer constantly second guessing things and falling prey to all the schadenfreude and greener grass mentality that plagues these forums.

Didn’t we just forfeit our next eight 767
orders? I think we still have some
options and we might be getting a couple more 777 and that’s it. They’ve said the last several earnings calls that capital expenditures for Express will be reduced. Not to mention the fleet being reduced further by flying planes to VCV. A couple per week, lots of 757s.
People keep acting like junior 777 FOs will block against a furlough, but if you’ve tracked the progress of 23-01 at all, many of the junior WB FOs are getting pushed down into the 757. Now they are reducing the 757 fleet rapidly. I’m sure the bidpacks will get thinner and thinner for more bodies in the seat. BLGs lower, SAM lower…

Consider the remaining 767 options gone. Once we turned down the initial 8 Boeing has the right to terminate the other 18 options, which they will. Another UPS win.
4a2b then c. Then a measly amendment period penalty payment just pays you back for the money you lost due their over hiring and subsequent 54 hour BLGs. They’re allowed to royally screw up and we pay for it.

And in Kentucky, State Representative Steve Rawlings introduced HB 506, which would ban “any form of geoengineering activities,” including “intentional manipulation of the environment, through an atmospheric polluting activity, to effect changes to the earth’s atmosphere or surface.”

There was a guy who left AA for FedEx a few years ago to much clutching of pearls. Relatively senior guy (8+ years?) and hired fairly young. Didn’t know him personally but he seemed fairly active with the union and had a good reputation. Turns out his timing was pretty terrible… I doubt he’d ever admit to making a “mistake” but it would be interesting to get his thoughts.
