When the MEC members vote on the Chairman position it's a secret vote from my understanding.
Is there a way to see how your rep voted after the fact? My rep apparently doesn't support my preference for MEC chairman, so therefore I will not cast my vote for him next go around BUT I'd like to see how he votes.
is that possible?

It may not be easy but you want change, go for it.
Why is this an issue for you now?

I wasn't aware that the vote was secret until now. I am trying to be more in the loop with respect to what "my" union is doing and how they operate.

I do like the engagement all of TA1 has created. It will make for a better union.

Every airline in ALPA has a MEC Policy Manual, and it should be viewable on the MEC website. Download it and look for the section that talks about officers and elections. It will give you a rundown on how officer elections work. Some properties allow, or at least don't prohibit, a "recorded vote", which would provide a breakdown in the actual minutes, but in any event, it's done in open session, so there is no restriction on invidudual members of the MEC writing down who voted for who. That's assuming it's not done via secret ballot, but that would be laid out in the policy manual. There's some flexibility there as long as it complies with the bylaws.
As with all things union, the information is out there, you just have to look for it, and its ususally already there in a PDF of some kind. I would hesitate taking the internet's word on anything, as often times it's less than precise, or subject to the telephone game. Go to the source.

1. The reps will cater to their base to keep their position.
2. We don't know how they voted and therefore can't make sure they've done the will of their base.
No wonder this group can't make any headway.

Does Wes Reed have a chance of winning the election for MEC chair?
Just remember, that clown washed out of ALPA work a couple years ago due to closely aligning himself with a former United MEC Chair named Todd Insler. You may remember the UAL "Tumi TA." That was Insler's baby.
Wes Reed's wife's Facebook rant blaming everyone except for her husband for his abysmal judgement and performance was as funny as it was embarrassing, though.

Spouting off in the SM chat that our asks are “unreasonable.” WTF, are you kidding me?
He and RH are a company mouthpiece. Stay far away from them.
