Just because the union files a grievance doesn't mean that it is an automatic win. Look at the past. How many grievances from 4 or 5 years ago still haven't been settled or ruled on?

4a2bc wasn't unilaterally negotiated away, we still get to vote on any new contract.

This should be the catalyst to squash any nonsense about oh they're going to do this or that. So what? You'll get a vote on the TA. Just like in 2023.

Also, the grievance to resolve the food issue at the Sheraton Taipei DRACONIAN COVID LOCKDOWN hotel was NEVER resolved. Thanks PD.

Bubs it got resolved when they stopped the lock downs! So you see the company will just wait things out just like our current contract. They are happy to delay delay delay.

the days of the company being happy waiting are over. They made their bed, now it’s time for them to sleep in it.

Section 8, 25 TA’d. No student lines, stay home and get paid or you can go in view add and pick up at 125%.

No company Jumpseating, improved bank language. Improved disruption language.

So reps need to resign or has progress been made? Compared to the last 18 months, not even in the same ball park.

I am sure the five will say it is all concessions and AB is a company shill!

Not exactly. Here are the direct quotes.

“And we are very pleased to tell the pilot group that we did agree to Student Lines, but in a dramatically different fashion than I think the one that people were really upset about.”

“So we're happy to say that again, although student lines are part of this TA. They look dramatically different than what people have seen in the past.”

If you haven’t been following the five and their comms and lack of openness, then you have zero clue because that is their exact program. Impasse and a strike.

Maybe your diapers are so full you can’t smell the crap they have been saying.

I broke out more what they said. Not just the generalization. There will always be student lines if there are students.

Brilliant. I don't wear diapers, I guess because you do you assume others do as well! Regardless, the fact remains "the five" haven't been running around scheming behind their own MEC and NC's backs and blindsiding the pilot group. But I guess that is "openness" to you... I do follow comms like the one below:

MEC Chair: Failed Leadership

The recent comm from MEC Chair Jose Nieves advises you to avoid social media and ignore the unrest among the pilot population, but he conveniently does not address the CAUSE of that unrest and the betrayal that the pilots feel after last week’s surprise removal of the NC chair.
  • He talks about unity, but he was happy to accept a late agenda item to remove the NC chair, knowing full well that five block reps, who directly represent thousands of FDX pilots, were purposefully left unaware of the plan.
  • He talks about proper process, but he supported and was fully prepared to bypass the required vacancy announcement, nomination period, and election process for the new NC chair, as required by the policy manual.
  • He talks about healthy discussion and debate, but not if you do it on social media, and not if you feel betrayed by the actions of Jose and the Secret Seven. He also did not allow or encourage discussion and debate among the MEC reps prior to a vote that would affect 5,300 pilots and their families.
  • He talks about solidarity, but he does not address the betrayal of the FDX pilots that occurred last week. He also does not address the fact that at least one MEC rep was engaged in direct communication with management since at least June.
  • And finally, he talks about facts. Did you get any “facts” from his latest message?
The chair’s failed leadership is a primary cause of the MEC’s dysfunction and the recent turmoil. We have worked with him over the past year to find solutions and improve his performance. At this point, we believe it is time for a change. We need more from our MEC chair than empty words and platitudes.
