Negotiations Finally
#1
Is it just me or does everyone else feel like we are finally moving along in these negotiations? It seems like this new NC has accomplished more in two weeks than in the last couple of years.

They're afraid to see any kind of a deal. Impasse, release and strike are the only ways they see to win.

Wait, I thought that all the old guys have ever done is vote for crappy concessionary contracts with crappy work rules.

Don't worry. I’m sure some of them won’t let you down. Even if AB allows student lines, I’m sure they’ll vote yes. Just like they did for business class seats. But hopefully they’ll be fewer than last time.

2015 hourly rates were industry leading (for a few months), at the expense of significant givebacks.
FedEx finally seems anxious to get a deal done. Expect for a parking lot type deal with lots of concessions remaining from TA2023 like student lines, AVA concessions, vacation concessions, no meaningful job protection improvements, no major changes to new-hire pay structure/hotel situation. But there will be a pension increase, at least for some pilots. New-hires will get locked out of it. Hiring and 4a2c exit will quickly follow the deal if ratified.
If AB is able to pull off a miracle and get a TA without all that stuff that PM handed over to the company during the best negotiating environment in FedEx pilot history, we all owe him a ton of beer. More likely than not though, it will be like the Frontier contract he negotiated that increased pay but brought PBS in.

To be released to self help would take years, considering where we find ourselves now…. Ita not as easy of a process as it sounds..

No matter how many times you say that, it won't become true.

B) What part of "A 'parking lot deal' won't happen under our current policy manual and C&BLs" don't you understand?

B) We're not talking about a deal made in a lot with that reference, just talking about a deal made quick and dirty that has a lot of giveaways. Maybe you're right though, I should say "Contract 2015 type of deal" instead of parking deal.

They're all the same at this point.
Surely there's lots of Pizza and Pancake parties at Hacks Cross right now.
