FedEx is not a winner. That's the grim reality. Our corporate leadership is not interested in long-term success, would rather not have employees, and works without the inconvenience of any moral compass or conscience.

Quarterly results. Period. Next quarter doesn't matter until next quarter.

You think the pilot contract has any bearing on what direction this behemoth of a corporation is going? They’ll give us a $2B contract and like Mearle said next year spin off the airline and that contract means nothing. What means something is what’s in my 401k. But keep digging the trenches cause we’ll gettem good.

Your attitude is exactly why I keep hearing senior guys tell me about how they can barely recognize this place from the FedEx they got hired at. A constant downhill slide. I guess you’re right, F#ck it. Let’s just smile and accept the scraps they offer. Why put up a fight when it’s already been decided for us.

I’m guessing it’s more about the fact that it’s not 30 years ago anymore and since Fred left his office there has been a continual downhill slide of layoffs and middle management making operations exceedingly difficult to “streamline” the operation.

Why would anyone actually read ANYTHING put out by ALPA when it can just be spoon-fed to you from Cutler via Turner and Comer?

Will be spoon fed via a 15 page manifesto that blames everyone except them and has no answers to fix the problems.
