Fedex APU

The irony of it all; the APU Start/Stop switch is in plain view, I am being admonished from touching it until needed just for engine start, yet the link to access the Flight Plan/Release, which I am require to review and sign prior to each flight, is now buried behind at least 3 web pages on the new and improved PFC website?

I think this latest admonition on the APU is funny.
Tell you what JP and BM: I'll consider trading you some APU cost savings if you'll let me order another Pop and/or Yogurt.
I'm sure we'll have a clarification email or FCIF directing us to consider delaying the start of the APU, but in no way should we be uncomfortable and that it is our discretion to start or not start it.
Wildmanny...hot already.

.........or how about bringing accepted fares back in line with what it REALLY costs to fly that DH leg? Or how about honoring 25.Y.5. in the CBA? Or even seriously working on a new (non-concessionary) contract? I could go on ad nauseum. I can't believe you management fags actually expect guys to save fuel by delaying APU start when you consistently violate (or at least re-interpret) the Contract. F.Y. B.M....... you little weasel. Boys turn on that APU as soon as you get to the jet! It's time to make a stand!!!!!!!

A wise captain once remarked, "The cubicle commando's offices are 72 degrees at 3 am when no in is even in them. My office will ALWAYS be 72 degrees." Gotta love Tiger guys.

It was freezing when I got in from the very cold! I asked the Captain to turn on the apu and she looked at me and said "if your cold you should have worn long johns like I did."

Bet she asked you to get her a water, right after you had sat down. You gotta love those guys, and it's not just female "guys" either. I hated that above almost everything else "they", the captains, did when I was in the right seat. I vowed to never be like that. When I finally made it to the left seat, the cockpit was always climate controlled and a water was sitting in the F/O's cup holder, when he or she came upstairs after their preflight. To hell with fuel savings at the expense of the flight crews.
