I've done the Emerald Coast interview prep course. I'll be doing a top off before I go to the interview. I highly recommend Emerald Coast.
I'm nervous/excited as well. It's something we've worked hard for. I don't know what day I'll be interviewing but it should be that same week as you. If you want to PM me your contact info we can exchange notes.
To those who have interviewed or are familiar where did you stay?

Now that will be an interesting question. FDX fly fewer hours but more international and/or back side of the clock. Make good money. But you could make same money at SWA by flying your ass off and/or working the system, living in domicile, etc. Hope you get the option to choose. Good luck Mattjax.
Side question, is the FDX window closed right now? That is what I see on pilotcredentials, that it closed back in September. Just wondering when it might open up again.

That conundrum is a first world problem! I'm sure anyone that is fortunate to successfully interview at both these fine companies is intelligent enough to make a thoughtful decision that is right for him/herself, their family, and their future employer. I had an interview scheduled at SWA, when I was hired both by FDX and United.
Ultimately I chose FDX. I started training before United called. I explained the fact that FDX had hired me, and I regrettably could not accept their offer. I called SWA that day and cancelled my interview and thanked them for the opportunity, and explained my situation.
United was extremely gracious and thanked me for the courtesy of letting them know. They explained there was a surprising amount of people that were offered jobs that failed to show for class with no explanation. This was in 2000. They congratulated me on what was to be a fine career and extended the very generous offer to reinterview if I found FDX wasn't a good fit. I've kept that letter and show it to my children as a lesson in what courtesy, honesty, and integrity will get you.
Everyone has to make a decision that's best for their situation. The hiring departments understand that the best candidates may be given multiple job offers and will have to make a tough decision. Don't burn bridges.
For the record, FDX was the right decision for me and my family and I have no regrets or second guesses. Most can find the lifestyle they want to pursue here.
