From what was relayed to me:

Uncertain about MD and FDA assignments.

For those that have gone through; how would you compare the RST practice exams to the Aviation Knowedlge portion of day 1? Thanks in advance for any replies.

My group found it to be a little harder. A handful of questions were straight from RST, but the knowledge base was the same. A couple of us got one or zero math questions, one guy got five.

Principles are dead on. If you're looking for identical questions, it's not going to be. But everyone in my group used RST and we all managed to pass.

I must apologize for getting one detail wrong. He was not met at the crew bus. He was met at the airplane as he disembarked, before he could even get to the crew bus. He then immediately was "invited" to the offices behind the glass doors.

Enjoy your pizza!

Default Timeline and ECIC Questions

Hello to all.... I just spent the last few days reviewing this thread. Very interesting and educating information.

I'm very new to the civilian world of flying, my experience is military and federal government (various helos, King Air, Dash 8 & Citation). I'm looking towards "free agency" and taking my talents (or lack thereof) to another team... primarily FedEx if they will have me.

With that said, my initial application via PC was in April. I just updated my application last week with current hours. ROUGHLY how long is it before I can anticipate any sort of response? Is there a current hold on hiring? What is the true value of Emerald Coasts and those like it? I hear it's good for interview prep. Not to toot my own horn, but I interview well. That aspect isn't an issue for me. So other than interview prep, what is the value? Mind you, I'm not bashing or doubting these companies, I just want to know what bells and whistles come with the car?

And I'm a sponge right now, if anyone has ANY words of advice or suggestions....PLEASE DO NOT HESITATE to send em my way.

Thanks in advance

DO EMERALD COAST

Don't try to be cheap when chasing a multi million dollar job opportunity. It's very frustrating seeing a friend fail, because they went in under prepared.

ECIC includes:
Online Audio/Video sessions
Webinars
Live Seminars
And most valuable is the one-on-one Phone Top Off, which is essentially a mock Interview w/ a simulated SBI session.

Update your application weekly or Bi-weekly.

Times vary from months to years for a response and interview opportunity.

Interviewing for an airline is strangely different from a lot of other interview experiences. I would not hesitate to pay $300-400 on what could be a highly lucrative career. Some of these companies offer a one-time "member for life" option with continuous support even if you decide to change employers down the road. Choose wisely.
