Pass Board
Anyone know the ins and outs of the review board? How many applications they are looking at how long until they are calling? What do they look for?
Thanks |

Ahoy from regional land,
I'm wondering about what things to study for the FedEx interview besides the regular study items listed at the end of the FedEx pilot application, one of my BPFFF (Best Pilot Flying Friend Forever) is going to interview soon and we would love any current info or tips on what to study more of for the interview. So far we have been going over all the Delta tech and cognitive stuff, Emerald Coast stuff and Everything Explained for the Professional Pilot, Ace the Technical Interview and all the HR and Tech questions on the Aviation Interviews.com site. What other resources do you think would be helpful? I'd love to help and if anyone has recently interviewed or is interviewing soon please PM me. We would be most grateful and share all the current gouges we have collected thus far. Thanks for your help! A cool Aviatrix...Fadecs :p Hoppy's Jeep |
What the company is really looking for in prospective new-hires is, in order of priority:
1) An inherent willingness to accept management authority, whether right or wrong, contractual or not, legal or illegal. 2) An ability to get along with fellow crew members on extended trips. For a new hire, this means appropriately dealing with the Captain, whether or not that person happens to be a member of the Association, or a total #%-hole. 3) Having documented experience as a certificated pilot, and fogging a mirror on a flight physical. 4) One's actual ability to fly an airplane and make good independent decisions in regard to the safe conduct of a flight. The wiser interview preparation people will provide much sharper guidance, but it may be worthwhile to keep the preceding thoughts in mind if you are called for an interview. By the way, say yes to an FDA. Disregard the fine print. Pay your dues to get in the door. |
how are new hires assigned seniority numbers by age, ssn, etc?
|
New hires get seniority number by last 4 of SSN, highest to lowest in class

Question regarding domiciles: I know that the area of choice to live in Memphis is the Germantown/Collierville area, but if one were to get assigned to Indianapolis, where do most of the pilots prefer to live?

Carmel, Fishers, Noblesville on the NE side is nice area for families. Broad Ripple area is a nice singles and empty nester area. Avon is a little closer to the airport and has nice areas. South of the airport is a little less big city feel, i.e Greenwood. |
