If I do come across more solid info from bro's, I'll shoot you a PM. I need to go back and read the previous contract, but I believe the old data was $5K per kid not to exceed $10K for school...the new now reads $15K per kiddo. Every little bit helps

Random question (off topic). Do any of you gents know what the "Primary Endorsment" is on the FedEx App site. Of my Recommendations, one of them is the "Primary Endorser". Do you all know if this is usually a seniority thing? Just curious how that comes about.
Thanks again for all the info!
Cheers

Ya, right now the wife and I are in research mode on CGN. That way if the opportunity arrives to go there it would be one less stressor.

CGN and HKG trips
Can anybody give me an idea of what type of flying is done out of CGN and HKG? For instance, what destinations or regions, and are the trips flying far away over days at a time, or out and back? Any insight would be appreciated.

CGN: The majority of the trips are 5-6 days long. The farthest away they go is Israel. 2 and 3 legs per duty period are most common. Many involve a deadhead to and/or from Paris or another EU city to start and end the trip since there are not that many actual departure flight from Cologne. There are a few shorter 2-3 day trips that are used as fillers on the lines comprised mostly of 5-6 day trips. There are no lines containing only shorter 2-3 day trips or out-and-backs. Destinations for actual layovers - Paris, Basel, Budapest, Amsterdam, Helsinki, Barcelona, Tel Aviv, Munich, Copenhagen and Manchester. There are other cities on the pairings that they turn through each night, but don't layover (Stockholm, Vienna, Athens to name a few).
HKG: Huge variety in destinations, trip lengths and distance away from domicile. All trips begin and end with a deadhead flight or ground transportation to/from CAN or another city in the region. ~25% of the lines are a "single departure" 12-14 day trip which is your flying for the month. The shortest trip is 4 days. Most trips seem to fall into the 6-10 day range if they're not single departure. Destinations - pick any country in Eastern Asia and it's likely they fly to one of the major cities there. ICN, NRT, KIX, PVG, TPE, SIN, SGN, KUL, MNL, BKK. They've had PEN and DEL off and on, but currently not flying there. They're also doing ICN-ANC, ANC-ICN and ANC-TPE. I don't know if those are going to be regular or if maybe they're just positioning a/c for mx.

We appreciate the info about the type of flying done. What would a typical 5-6 day CGN trip credit? Lastly, would living in Paris be a terrible commute? I see plenty of options just curious if picking the trip up there would be possible.

A typical weeklong trip will pay between 30 and 40 hours. Two trips will pay between 68 and 75 hours (in a 4 week month). Commuting from Paris would be easy, but you would lose a lot of the in country benefits. Living in Paris you would probably be the schedulers best friend for picking up trips. Trading and picking up trips is likely a good option just between the pilots helping each other out.

You can commute from Paris, but realize that you would not be able to receive the enhanced move package and the associated benefits if you live there (housing allowance being the biggest). In order to receive the enhanced move package, you have to live within 100 NM of CGN and in Germany. You still get a move package, but not the enhanced one.
