Default B-fund contribution limit?

B-fund contribution seems a little low this month. Does anyone know when b fund contributions cease, it wasn't quite clear to me on Vanguard or IRS websites...when you reach $53,000($59,000 catch-up) of contributions or at $265,000 of compensation?

Thanks in advance to the one with the answer.

8% (our rate) x 265,000.

The 53k would apply when you add in your 401k, sick leave buy back, etc. Your B fund will be $21,200 this year if you gross 265k. If you make 300k, its still $21,200 due to the limit. If you make 200k, its $16,000 (8% x 200,000).

If you hit the 53K, before you reach 265, the B fund contribution would cease and you would not max out the company contribution.
After tax savings (think OSP) could theoretically help put you over the max.

It is a 415 (C) limit not a contract limit & off of max $265k. 53k was for 2016. 54k for 2017 off of $270k.

My first year over $265,000, yet year to date contribution in MPP is $24,692.60...did anything else pay into the MPP? On was there an error overshooting the $21,200?

FDX January PMPPP contribution was for Dec. 2015. So, don't include that in your 2016 calculation. In 2017, it will be done based on each paycheck.
