14 days in the busy season is definitely exhausting. 14 when it’s moderate isn’t so bad, especially when you get 14-18 days off after.

The only pro that I see for now is flexjet’s guaranteed upgrade after 5 years. The con is that it’s only a guarantee as long as the company wants as the pilots have no union and the company will change compensation and schedules as they see fit.

Just to be clear here....Flexjet FO pay doesn't change at all ($421/day) until year 5, in which case you'll go to Captain pay if you're still an FO. There are ZERO pay raises until you make Captain or hit year 5.

Uhh Ohh. Sounds like someone should read what I wrote before posting. What was incorrect?
Flexjet first year pay is $421 per day. True.
Flexjet first year FO will maybe make 6-10k between OT, fuel bonus, and any other bonus the company decides to give out. True.
Flexjet first year FO will make a lot less than a peer at NetJets. True. (Which is what I meant by saying take NJ pay and subtract a lot).

The part about a NetJets FO will only make more than a Flexjet FO by “subcontracting” is the part that is incorrect. I’m not sure if you’re referring to “subcontracting” as working on their days off for another operator as contract pilot or something else. Either way, your statement is still very much incorrect. I haven’t done contract in years because I no longer have to.
A new hire Netjets FO still makes more than a Flex FO because of all the soft money opportunities like paid medical benefits, 58% 401k match, OT, FDP, holiday pay, and raises in our contract.
Take a look on the NetJets board and read what first year NJ FO’s are revealing what they’ve been earning…without “subcontracting”.
I was pretty surprised to hear NetJets FO’s were making more than a Flex PIC buddy of mine.

The word he used was “subtract.”
Quality misread and response though.
