To any Flexjet Onboarding/Talent Search Team or others who may know
Some operators (not mine) upon receipt of a PRIA request from another carrier will immediately terminate the pilot...senseless and stupid we can all agree but nonetheless, it happens all too often. I have a friend who is faced with this situation and is concerned about the gap between an event like this occurring based upon a CJO and PRIA request going out to his current employer.
Several questions if known by the experts on here:
1. When is the PRIA request triggered and sent out by Flexjet to current/ past employers?
2. Realizing the PRIA must be completed prior to the first 135 flight with FJ or any new employer, would Flex Jet delay a PRIA request to a timeframe much closer to the starting of indoctrination/simulator training? In other words, would they wait until the pilot is at least on property and getting paid by FJ but well before the first 135 flight?
3. When would be the right time to bring up this dilemma to the FJ interview team?
I've heard of this happening quite often by operators with some of their most trusted and respected employees but it happens enough in my mind to think this scenario is not unusual for a company the size of FJ. Just curious how they can handle it so my friend is not sandbagged by his current employer and left with no income for several weeks/months.
Thanks in advance for the answer.

the concern is IF the current company IS notified they have in the past fired people immediately. That would indicate companies are being notified in some form or fashion. That notification is triggered by the potential employee

This echoes what zeruela said in their last sentence a couple of posts up.

It’s PRD, the only paper stuff these days I think is the national driver check, and I think maybe the prior drug testing info

But nothing stopping them from sending out the old forms, free country, they can ask for references or info in any manner they see fit. Although they may no longer have legal liability protections for doing so.
Guess if I were in that boat I'd inform them in writing that they're not to notify or communicate with my current employer in any manner without my approval. Hopefully they'll coordinate a mutually agreeable timing.
