Agreed. Spirit was one of my primary targets prior to COVID. Seems like a great company to make a career. I flew Frontier for the first time on my commute home the other day and that 321 NEO was spotless. Very clean, seats were just fine and the staff was friendly and helpful.

Worked at both. Can’t even imagine working for Flex again. Lots of great guys at Flex unfortunately high percentage of managers are weasel’s. Only wish I would have left 15 years earlier for Spirit.

Did you leave before or after Teamsters were voted out? What did the managers do to be "weasels?"

Left before. Had a gut feeling the Union was going to be voted out. Saw the whole training dept make back door deals to get them all into the Large cabin a/c in which 90% of them didn’t have the seniority to come close to holding. Too many years of fighting with the likes of BR, SR, MK, TM etc... The constant battles with Mx on write ups and the expectation of carrying write ups. Nope don’t miss the ass kiss mentality 2N loves. Hey to each their own but I love how guys slam a company who have never worked for us. I have and take Spirit hands down.

Hiring classes for this year are full. Will continue to hire more for next year, though. Approximately 4500 apps on file. Not terribly interested in furloughed airline pilots. Chances of getting hired without an internal Rec are slim at best.
