When will Flexjet adopt the liberal FLOPS basing policy? That would make it even more attractive with so many choices...

Very true.
We need to replace all the ones uncle K fired.

Just got word T-Rex is leading the class action suit.

I would not recommend anyone to come to Flex. Your career will be ruined.

This place is awful.

We all thought DG was a tight ass but he new how to run a Frac.

Why is Flex a bad place?

Any news on hiring at Flex or Options?

What is the average age of the pilot group at Flexjet?

Any/Best guess as to how long a new hire be an FO at Flexjet?

Any other helpful information to help with a decision to choose Flex or not to choose Flex?

As of this morning Flex has a posting for "Pilot" on their Careers page for a first officer position. A few days ago I shared a crew van with a Challenger 300 Flex crew enroute to our hotel and the captain mentioned they were going to be hiring 110 pilots between now and next January. It sounded like they were going to be adding quite a few new airplanes to the fleet between now and on into 2016, and that off-the-street hiring would continue. At the time the captain said Flex was only looking at applications with internal recommendations.

Can anyone currently with Flex confirm any of this? Also, what's the overall atmosphere at the company since being bought by DAC in 2013? Worse than what it was before the buyout, better, etc.? What's the turnover like now that the majors have been hiring for some time?

Feel free to PM me if you need to. I'm currently looking at possible places to move on to over the next 6 months/year and Flex is pretty high on my list. Thanks in advance!

What about the rumor of a new fleet type at Flexjet added in September (replacing the Lear 85 order)? Probably would need some new pilots if new aircraft are ordered.

Does FlexJet make you sign a training contract?

I was given a private link to apply last month. I was required to enter the name of the Pilot(s) I know at Flex. The private window opened late June. The Flex guys all know about it. Should be getting ready to interview new hires. They were waiting on a few recalls before starting the hiring phase. Guys will be going into the new LR75's.

talked to them at the career fair in Dallas last week. the Vp of Ops and the CP were there. Really nice guys who seemed to really like their jobs.
a few things they said:

-said they were hiring at least 100 pilots through the end of the year for growth, said there is very little attrition.
-roughly adding 50 air frames through end of next year
-upgrade ~2 years to small cabin (lears) ~ 5 years to midsize and larger(challengers)
- says first year FO's get a base salary of ~62K but after per diem and random extra's you make around ~70

anyone back this stuff up? Thanks

I've been waiting for them to call me back after I had an interview with them 2 years ago but it was cancelled when the FLops guys were being called.

hope I can get a call soon.

That is pretty much what I have heard, as well.
