No more ATP Manassas, Location?
I was lookin at Allatp website, I don't see their KHEF location anymore. I just got to Baltimore for leave, and was going to check them out. I guess I could go to Trenton, NJ or Virginia locaton.

have you considered any of the western locations? Its a whole different enchilada flying out here. There is actually uncontrolled airspace!! You can go fly...and talk to no one!!

i went to the Richmond location for my interview with them, and you could tell they were new in the neighborhood, top floor of some jet center, kinda tucked away with no pictures on the walls, really plain... but a nice view of the airfield, my buddy just finished his multi-add on and he said it was really unorganized, instructor had under 300 hrs... (my buddy has 500+ from instructing)
i'm not trying to bash them... i'm just saying it seemed like they werent totally moved in yet. great guys though... funny and relaxing.

You really don't want to fly anywhere near the ADIZ for training purposes. It's not really that bad, as I did my private in it...but it's a royal pain in the butt at times. Potomac was an utter mess of an airport to fly out of. It's just an ounce less stress to contend with. Not impossible, just something to consider. RIC is well clear of it, and a nice area.

ATP Manassas was great. Too bad they closed it, as to under skilled CFIS, i did ATP and Riddle and I think ATP blew Riddle out of the water. Grad from Riddle a year ago and my freshman, private, instructors from Riddle are still trying to save up the money to buy some multi time....
