Like I said, I'm not associated with them, just have heard positive things. Its not a new op, its an additional location and many people associated with CPS (students, instructors and mgt) are on the boards. I find it funny that "you had" a flight school there and call it a dump. There had to be some reason a 777fo thought it was a good place to fly from and start a business.

as a very satisfied student from career pilot school i would say its a wonderful school to learn flying.I don't think any of my friends here is unhappy with the training at all.Even lake port is best place for a two day picnic , lamason field is not that busy.Sometimes its not busy at all.that is the plus point right there. When we all fly feel like airspace is so quite just for us to learn how to fly.I am here for 7 months.now i am done and time to go back.but as an international student they provide me what they promised so looking forward to come back and finish my instructor ratings. definitely recommend you to checkout Career Pilot School if you thinking about doing pilot training in California..
