Ya, I read that post too. I think that he meant to say that he came to ATP with no ratings period, but you cannot start the 90 day program with out at least a pvt license. You can do a private with ATP, they have a 2 month and a 4 month program. I didn't mean any harm by the above posts. I came from naval aviation myself(NFO) and had a problem at first with a 230 hour guy as my instructor, but actually he did a great job. Anyway, no harm no fowl, and like I said before, I meant nothing personal about the prior posts.
