This sounds like my kind of school, being fast paced and what not. For those of you who have been hired, how does the hiring outlook stand for 2013? If I have no dual given as of yet, will my resume even be given the time of the day?

They fly a fair amount and pay is probably on par but they do complain about the language barrier. Good luck.

I have some first and some second hand knowledge of US Aviation. I did my CFI there in the hopes of working there because I how busy they were. Being a naive person paid 1,200 for the CFI class which I personally feel was not worth the 1,200 I paid. I asked about possible job positions without CFII and MEI, but with intent of doing them while I was working. I was told they hired people without them and gave them timelines, but halfway through ground school I was told only CFII's get hired. During a 2 hour lesson my instructor spent 1 hour bit**ing about the company, and charged me for the full 2 hours (that is on him not the company). I never felt comfortable with the MX done on the aircraft and neither did one of my coworkers that was formerly employed with them. Hopefully you can get some information on someone with more first hand experience. Good Luck

The Hold was just for a few days. We recieved payment and training has resumed. This is not a normal thing to happen and hopefully will remain an isolated inccedent. Our contracted clients have been good about keeping up with payments to avoid delays in their students' training and this practice will continue into the future.

US Aviation has a 100% first time pass rate with the FSDO for CFI check rides for 2012. CFI training is as good as the candidates efforts. It is unfortunate about your expieriance with that instructor. Every student who has completed their CFI with USAA over the last year is here working and getting in good flight time. As far as maintenance, USAA flew almost 60K hours last year with no accedents/inncidents do to maintenance issues. I think that speaks for itself.

Sorry about your experience with your instructor. I went through the CFI class as well and I believe I was adequately prepared and passed first time. I started as a student and have gone all the way to King Air. If they want you to have a CFII, well a corporate gig wants you to have a type... Nature of the game that probably a dude with 250hrs isn't gonna see. In all honestly, all the guys that have done the whole hire as a CFI (myself included) end up hating it and do the *****ing because they don't make enough money... My advice? Get the CFII
Please leave your comments out, it has been a huge opportunity for me and I hope a lot of others are as lucky...
