Yes...but it will need to be level C or D to be able to get credit for the full check ride including landings.
See ATP PTS Appendix for Task vs. Simulation Credit for the breakdown of what you can and cannot do in a FTD or Sim based on lvl.

If your just trying to do the ride as economical as possible I would suggest heading out to Sheble's Avitation in Fort Mohave for 2 days. $2200 cash plus DPE fee out the door!

You need to look under Part 142 Training Centers. All I see for light airplanes are Level 6 FTDs which, as pointed out above, won't let you do the whole checkride in the box. While the cost of running a sim is cheaper than flying a plane, building and certifying a sim isn't cheap. Twenty years ago Lear and Hawker sims cost about as much as the planes themselves. No one's going to dump millions of dollars to sim a plane that only costs a couple hundred an hour to fly.

I did my ATP check in the CAE 737NG sim through Higher Power. I remember seeing something about extra sim time being about $650/hour if you needed it. A classic sim was cheaper. But I don't think you can get away with just getting your ATP without the type through HPA...
Cheapest will be the Seminole.

A light twin is going to be as cheap as it gets, unless you upgrade at a 121 airline, then it's free.
But if you need a jet type anyway, you can do it conjunction with that in a sim.
