Commercial rating advice
Hey guys,
I recently passed my instrument checkride and I'm trying to plan my next steps before I begin commercial training. I currently have roughly 160 hours total time. I was wondering how you guys would advise me to proceed with training. I have had some guys on the airfield tell me that the commercial multi initial is a smart step and that I would then be able to do a single add on in a 152. I know I don't have the money to do that but I've been told that it adds up to the same if not less if you do it this way. Any advice to a rookie is gladly appreciated...

Where are you based out of? I'm about to take my instrument checkride and am debating on going in with some fellow professional student-minded pilots on a Seminole or something with low fuel burn to take me up to the 250 hours.
Doing this through a loan from AOPA, then reselling, might be cheaper then renting.

Commercial single engine then CFI would make sense to me. That way you build up time instructing and then if I'm not mistaken you could even claim your commercial multi add on, since you would be working and this would be to further your career.
