For less that 35k, that's extremely good, to be honest with you I've done some research for flight schools around Florida and that's the cheapest I've found, 39k with the fuel surcharges included etc. Yea and I see that you worked at on FBO Ramps, that's one of my concerns,and it's how to manage to fit in 3 things because of course I need the job for money to pay for my flight classes. But there is organization thing called AOPA and you can pay around 150-200 monthly for your flight classes since they pay it for you and you just pay them monthly. So I'm guessing I'll just need a light job to manage that. And wait, so you can just start working as a CFI with only your CFI not having your CFI-I and CMEI and still build your hours and get payed ?

Yes captain, I'm sorry I thought that was an error. So less than 3.5k howw, and was that in Florida?

I don't think he was trying to correct you, rather I feel he was trying to see how you reacted to being corrected.

I actually have sir but someone told me it takes around 10 years but the positive thing is that major airlines actually take you in with now probs. But yea that's the negative side, Ima have to do a little research on it.

Spell check would help you better say whatever it is you're trying to say. But, I think I got the gist.

It sounds like your real goal is an airline pilot job. If that's true, then don't bother researching or pursuing the military route. It's not a stepping stone path to the airlines. You can end up at an airline (and no, it's not always "now probs" ) but you need to have more reasons to serve than just getting on with an airline. You would also need to be okay with taking that path and never getting on the airline track. 10+ years is a long time.

Do you have some flight experience yet? What is drawing you toward this particular career path?

Well ok i have 0 flight experience, the only flight experience I have is flying a c172 and a c172 sim at ERAU (was only for a few hours)with a scholarship I earned to attend their amazing summer camp. Even though I might not have adequate flight experience, being an Airline Pilot has been a dream of mine since the beginning of middle school. I even get my adrenaline pumping everytime I see plane fly close by. So I'm trying to make a well constructed plan now, so I won't have such of a great headache after this last year of highschool and not disappoint my parents and my self. Just in case you haven't seen my earlier posts I'm looking into FIU and earn a degree in something usefull while going to this flight school around 18-20 min away from it called PTC~39k for: PPL instrument, commercial, and multi. And oh we'll Ima have to find another flight school that provide CFI classes. And yes I'm only trying to pursue the Airline Pilot career.

I realize you don't have much experience. That's okay, everyone's got to start somewhere. However, dreams and reality sometimes end up being quite a bit different.

You've got a little bit of exposure to flying at ERAU - good. Maybe it would be worthwhile to get some more just to continue to explore this career path you're considering. Continue to prepare, evaluate options and plan. Don't burn bridges. But, take some time this summer and even during senior year to take some flying lessons. Find out if you have some aptitude and like it as much as you think you do.

Thanks sir, yea ill be exploring lots of Options this summer, hope seeing you in the future.
