Flight Training Help
Hello,
I am currently a freshman in college and have decided to go into aviation. I was originally thinking about doing the 141 program at my current college, but decided against it because of the cost.
So now I have found a good FBO near my house that I would like to do all my training at. They said it would be 5-8k for private and 5-8k for instrument in a 150 which is cheaper than any others in the Minneapolis area. I do plan on going all the way through CFII, and possibly MEI, but I will decide that later.
My question is, would it be cheaper to do training in the summer and on weekends when I go home over the next few years, or doing it all in one summer after my senior year. They have accelerated training for each rating and was told the accelerated does not cost any more per hour. But would I end up paying for way more hours only flying once or twice per week VS everyday for 2 or 3 months.
Any input it very much appreciated.
Thanks!
