Default Eva questions

I'm thinking of putting in for Eva but wanted to ask a few questions to anyone recently there:

-Why do they need 12 pass port photos??
-Is the medical, astronaut? With hard cholesterol limits, BMI etc??
-Is their technical interview ala Cathy?
-what is QOL like, can I commute on the MD11?

thanks a bunch fellas..

I wouldn't go to an airline that has a pilot recruitment icon right on their home page.....

What bugs me the most is that I have to put in an application via paper providing them with a significant amount, copies of critical documents, photographs, and other info that only an employer should need, not a prospective employer.. and about much of the same about my family before I am even told I'm qualified among their pool of applicants.. but I'm frankly a bit desperate these days.

Same ol same ol here. My company just dodged a bullet from a potential buyout. Didn't happen, which is good. The bummer is I may be getting displaced. But hey, I got a job. Bummer things have gone the way they have on your end. I knew a few guys from your latest job, sucks for them too.

Even if GAC was hiring, it's fallen off my radar. For reasons I'm sure you are well aware. Sounds like the wheels are falling off that cart.

I give GAC a few more weeks.. been talking to a few close friends.. some in the training dept. They're going as far now as allowing guys to de-qual.

Sad to see such a great company go that way.

Yeah, it's kinda sad to watch what is happening there. Only ONE guy that I know is STILL working there. The 8-9 have all left for obvious reasons. There are a few I haven't talked to in while. Even though the industry is in such a poop storm, even the ACMI/Cargo business has SOME semblance of stability. Sounds more like a case of totally inept management over there.

But hey, they'll probably get some new planes and everything will be saved.

I know, they have been saying that for years.

The only thing I wonder is, who's going to get the MD'11's? I know, some coming up on heavy check and that's going to be pricey. I thought I heard that FedEx has no more interest in that fleet type, but maybe UPS and World do.

BTW, you try to get on over at World?

If one did not like the schedule at GAC, i doubt they would enjoy the 2 week trips at WOA.

When you're paid about 2 times as much, it somehow magically makes it a whole lot better.
