To answer many of your questions, go to the the Asia section on Pprune.org.. http://www.pprune.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=45

Lots of info here.. Basically $9k in India is like $20k here as far as cost of living. Takes a special breed to handle India.. can really wear on you.

Good luck

Hate to break it to you this way, but the last two fatal accidents on the CRJ were in the USA and were both pilot error.

When flying modern western built transport category jets safety is not going to be a major issue unless they are not serviced and maintained properly. I can tell you that in all of my international experience most foreign airlines do a far better job of keeping the aircraft MEL free than U.S. carriers.

Yeah, all BS aside the US really stands out from a 121 safety perspective, Europe is not far behind. But the rest of the world...whole different ball of wax, airline flying is probably statistically hazardous to the crews in any third-world country.

Asia, Africa and the Middle East all pay better than the US.

Eh, I wouldn't say "rest of the world".. I honestly have no idea about countries like India, but there are numerous other Asian companies that have been doing well. (Or at the very least, made big improvements from their baby days.)
