Korea as a country is awesome, really nice helpful people to foreigners, who don't work for KAL as pilots. If you like cold beer and spicy fried chicken you will be in heaven.
If guys are leaving for other countries it must be really bad. All my friends there are super family orientated.

The median household income in the US is $53,657. Many of us would not like to try to live on that as well.

$30,000 might be the average on some survey but there is a large upper middle class or upper class population there. It would be hard to live on $30,000 there, everything is so expensive, from food to utilities. I bought one of my translators a pair of Levis, he politely told me he didn't want them, I asked why, he said they don't cost enough. His daily jeans cost $300, I asked how many pairs do you have, he said 7.
There seems to be many well off people there and many not so well off. I lived there for 2 years.

Actually it does look like $30,000 is about average, wow, my rent was at least $1500 a month.

You can fly a CRJ in Japan for higher pay than those guys are flying the A380...., all in a time when KAL is profitable and growing..., it isn't greed, it is fairness...!
