Well,

He was half-right and being honest.... WUP didn’t buy us

An ATP is required to be a FO in a King Air?

No, and neither is a First class medical. But they are requirements for GAMA. They want to make sure you can upgrade when you are ready. You have to have the hours for insurance purposes anyway, so they want it out of the way, especially with the new training requirements.

There's more to the equation than aircraft type, and GAMA is a top-tier operator. There are plenty of other places you could go fly a King Air without an ATP. You won't make 70K with full medical either. Just saying.

Default Typed in 350i?

Is a King Air 350i type rating required to be considered for a direct entry captain? I know an applicant has to have gobs of flight time and other stuff to be competitive; I'm just curious about the type and if you need it or not. Thanks.

Their minimums are a mystery, but I do know they do require a significant amount of PIC, multi PIC, and some turbine. I do know that a type is not required for a direct entry captain because i am one...and I did not have a type.

Is Spokane, Washington (GEG) a domicile/base for Gama?

I got hired into the left set without a type. They do want all pilots to have a first class medical and ATP. Salary of $90K for left seat isn't so great for the amount of work you do on the 8/6 schedule.

Default Gama and Military

Anyone on here have experience flying with Gama and also Guard/Reserves at the same time? I'm curious if anyone could shed some light on how this affects the scheduling process. An example, If I had drill scheduled midway through the 8 day rotation, do they just cancel your entire trip or do they send you home midway through the tour. Any info is appreciated.
