Yes, agreed..the model has not been changed much except for some operators who have a “flex” schedule that is not so rigid but it is usually a schedule more senior pilots at those operators get..newbies aren’t likely to get those.
XO has that but I am not familiar enough to lay out all the details..I think less than 10% of the 200 pilots fly it but don’t quote me on that number...still new myself and learning.

There are, but you’ll be on call 75 days per quarter. Hard to make plans. Also I doubt they would allow for homebasing. The 8/6 is unbalanced but at least when you’re off, you’re off. NJ has 7/7 but you spend you days at the airport 14 hrs even when you’re not flying for the 7 on. At least that’s my understanding. Flex has a PBS I think that can allow for 3-4 day trips but not sure how great it is.

Piedmont has the lowest QOL out of the three AA Wholly Owned regionals. Piedmont pilots work 5-8 days more per month than their line holding peers at PSA, equating to 60-90 days more each year, for less money.
Even junior line holders at Envoy get 13-15 days off.
At Piedmont, senior line holders get 11-12 days off. Throughout the year.

May I ask which regional you fly for and how did you make 96k the first, all regionals I came across with have between 36-50 per hour and guranteed min 75.

Thank you for the info
Don’t limit yourself to one 135 operation, I.e NJ...consider other decent size “fractional”. I am at XOJETS, just started..smaller pilot force than the two Larry (NJ/FJ) but upgrades are quicker and culture is superb. Great record of pilots being hired by other big carriers, particularly SWA. Good luck..PM if you want more info.
So does xojets cover ATP-CTP, do they have reserve, what are the domiciles, upgrade time and is there like a flow to SWA
Thanks again

Indeed
I would recommend going to PSA instead of Piedmont, or Envoy after they get their pay raise.

2. No reserve. Schedules are either 8/6, 15/13 or a "flex schedule (fewest options and goes very senior).
3. No domiciles, "home basing". If you live near an airport with regular mainline/regional air service, XO flies you to and from on your start day (either Tues or Wed) and end day. Many 135 companies do that, not unique for XO but for a commuter like myself for 13 yrs, it is a nice stress reducer.
4. Upgrades in the X is around 1 yr, possibly less. The Challenger is little longer 18 months or so. XO keeps a ratio of about 60/40 CAs and FOs.
5. No flow thru to any operation but a large number of XO folks have gotten hired at SWA. I know the reputation of XO pilots who have been hired by SWA in the eyes of the hiring department is high.....no guarantees but the culture is similar (being former SWA I can say that with confidence).
Hope that helps
