How do they handle having drill during a scheduled trip? I can shift my guard schedule around sometimes but not always.

You can shift your schedule as long as someone else on your schedule can shift with you. If that's not possible, you can take military leave for the drill. It gets sticky when that drill is in the middle of your cycle, but it is what it is.

Nope, not yet. Sometimes your employee badge gets you the discount at airport restaurants though. Hope that's a good tradeoff.

There's no TSA Precheck program? Can the pilots apply on their own and have the company reimburse the expenses?

The rumor is that KCM is on the horizon but everyone says it's been talked about for a long time now.

TSA precheck is on you. It's $85 for 5 years and worth every penny in my opinion. The only downside is it's become more popular and I think TSA has a new program coming out that ,of course, costs more money but promises shorter lines.

I was concerned about the TSA liquid rule too. I bought a really nice 3 oz travel bottle set and filled them so I could see how long they'd last while I'm up here in ground school. It's been 2 weeks and still have product in the bottles although I'll run out of body wash soon. It's certainly enough to last your trips plus some for overtime should you choose to work it. I have been supplementing body wash with hotel bar soap for after workout or swimming pool showers. You won't want to take big bottles with you anyway... takes up too much room.

If you need to take big bottles, (use your company card) PS will pay to check in 1 bag as long as you have a carry on with the necessary supplies to start your cycle in the event of lost/stolen luggage.

RetiredAOCS. Im not up on my Naval acronyms. Were you an AO? I looked up AOCS but it came up with Aviation Officer Candidate Schoole.

Interested in Planesense because of the variety of flying. Is the time flying the PC12 loggable as SIC? I live in Central NJ, is it possible to commute to HPN?

Apply for Tradewind. They also fly PC-12 and have a base in HPN

I am an Aviation Ordnanceman Senior Chief (E-8). We work on missiles and smart bombs for the U.S. Navy fighter jets. I am about to retire after 25 years of service. My last job was to inspect all squadrons and aircraft carriers on the east coast for ordnance safety regulations and qualification programs. Put it this way, I was not a friendly face aboard the carriers and squadrons. But, I loved what I did.

All the time is loggable; our OpSpecs and MSpecs require two pilots. It's possible to commute to HPN as long as you drive.
