You are supposed to MARTA from PDK to ATL. If you go direct to ATL, you will not be reimbursed for parking since it is free at PDK. In general, you have a better likelihood of picking up a plane at PDK. You will airline probably once a cycle on average when based in PDK.

Definitely NOT worth the $130 to print the AFM. I referenced it a handful of times and the .pdf will be on your training iPad.

I'm a little confused by the statement here
Don't they expect you to be very sharp on IFR. I thought CFII was highly desirable.
I should throw in my resume. I'm not 100% on IFR at the moment

He is referring to the fact that isn't worth it to pay a lot of money to print out the AFM/POH. You will have access to it before class begins and you can get a generic version online. Unless you learn better with a paper copy, it's not worth it.

IFR experience and knowledge IS highly desirable and essential to pass training. It's one of the more likely reasons you wouldn't pass.

The current policy is that you park at Epps at PDK and take the MARTA to ATL. You then have the option to use Uber or take a taxi if...
You're traveling between the hours of 2000-0600
Or
You're traveling by yourself at any time.

If you're remote based, you'll get a company credit card and just charge it to that.

As to the frequency you airline vs picking a plane at KPDK, I can't speak from experience as I'm new. From what I've been told, there is nothing that you can really count or plan on. You might to a couple cycles without airlining and you might go several where you won't start at PDK. I airlined out this cycle and looks like I'll probably airline back.

You have a Company Credit Card. Uber black it from PDK-ATL. Quality of life is everything.

Who knows if PS covers cell phone expenses? I remembered during the interview that it was mentioned $52 to cover travel expenses monthly to include airport employee parking expenses. Thanks.

$10 a month for FO's, significantly more than that for captains but I forget exactly how much.

Default Girly post

What did you guys/girls wear to training?
Any girls on this forum? Any wear nice skirts during the ground portion?

Sorry guys! Y'all always look so nice with simple shirt and slacks and tie. That looks just doesn't work on me.

If you watch the Company's video on their page the pilot trainees are wearing slacks with long sleeve collar shirts but that could be something they did on purpose to film the video and show a professional look. By the way, you are in my class that starts in March 14. I got an e-mail today with the training topics.
