Could you post your process of getting hired there? Also, can you choose your base?

When I applied, they were advertising on Climbto350 and I applied through there. Within the day I was contacted by HR and was given a full application to fill out. A couple weeks after that I was contacted to schedule an interview and then it was a few days and I had a class date. I would have to dig through emails but I believe the process from applying to knowing I passed the interview process was around 6-8 weeks and applying to class date was somewhere around 4 months.

We advertise on multiple sites including the company page. Being in Atlanta can be advantageous. We occasionally do remote interviews and college tours. If I were you, just go to our webpage and fire off an email to HR. I'm not sure if we're hiring at the moment but I'd imagine they'll at least accept your resume and put it in line for future interviews. We're hiring a lot this year... 8 classes of 12 for the year and I believe that classes are filled up for a while. People do later decide to cancel their class spot and HR bumps people up, opening up more spots.

You choose your own base. There are no limits to the number of pilots per base. Bases are mostly airline gateways for remote pilots to use on day 1 & 8.

As DSM said, many times day 1 & 8 for remote based guys are travel days. There are times where you'll pick up a plane from PDK, grab a rental car from Epps and drive to the plane or you'll park at Epps and then Taxi/Uber/Lyft/MARTA to ATL to get on an airline flight.

I'm still pretty new and after 4 cycles, I have not began, ended or had a stop over at PDK. Last cycle I did the rental thing and drove to Chattanooga but that's as close as I've gotten to starting here.

I submitted an application July 7th of 2016. I got a follow up email in mid August around the 24th I believe asking me to formally apply. I filled out the formal application and submitted the tests and heard back a few weeks later offering an interview slot for Nov 8th at PDK. I drove over to PDK for the interview and the folks were great. Exceptional people. I did the 3 part interview the consisted of a technical and hr combined and then a simulator checkout on a redbird. He gave me a few minutes to fly around and get used to it. Had me load the ils to PDK and gave me vectors. I went missed and entered the hold. Finished up and it was about 3 weeks later Elaine called me and discussed the interview and offered me an April 11th class date.

Thanks tctaeg. Congrats! Keep us updated in here of your progress if you would.

It was about 3 months application to class for me and I've been here almost 3 years; it's a pretty typical timeline.

Just to emphasize, I am not PDK based but I have spent 6 out of 7 nights of a cycle before in PDK. Your schedule is based on company need and (hopefully) efficiency.

Brian, highly suggest you go through the last 10 pages of the thread. All of your questions so far have been answered recently. Thanks for keeping the thread active though.

Just to point out for those are looking to get hired... I applied AFTER tctaeg did and instead of taking the PDK interview in November, I asked if I could fly to PSM and interview there... I interviewed in October. I paid out of pocket for the airline ticket and hotel but I ended up in the January class. If you're wanting in the earliest class and you're given the option and you have the ability to do it, go to PSM for the interview.

My $.02

I was going to do that. The time didn't work for me. I had a medical conflict with my wife and chose to go with what the remaining options were. It is what it is. I'm grateful for the opportunity. Can you share what training what like? Dress code etc?
