NJA Proposed 100 bases

I don't mean to discourage anyone, but just have realistic expectations and don't expect to have any advantage over the non-military guys.

Honestly, I wish I knew more specifically what they look for. I had two military buds with resumes very similar to mine who applied at the same time I did. I got the call for an interview and neither of them did. One went on to SWA, the other to AirTran. Sometimes it seems like a bit of a crapshoot when you're standing outside the process looking in.

I'm curious where you came up with 5% ? That would be less than 150 pilots on the list. I think that number is grossly understated, it is very rare that I fly with a pilot that was not prior military. Now on the other hand, military "fighter" guys do seem to be the minority (except in the X fleet). Most ex-mil seem to have been in transport category aircraft.
Arguable

Maybe it was in error, but it was on the pie chart.

Since the slide was showing the sources of the pilots hired, it probably only counted folks as military who came straight out of the military - not the ones who have military experience but flew for an airline, corporate or cargo outfit in between.
