If money is not an issue...maybe you should think about the pilots who actually need a good job. Go fly for a local 135 company or better yet - stay home and count all your money.

Default We've been invaded by Trolls!!!!

You guys have got to be kidding me!!!

CAPTDOUG came to this forum to ask questions / seek advice regarding a possible career move.

Whatever his motivations for this move may be, why should it matter?? He asked a few questions -- if you're in a position to answer him, do so. If not, leave it to someone who does. Plain and simple.

If you feel the need to bash someone, do us all a favor and kindly go back to Flightinfo.com !!!

So I quit so one of you might take my number and get hired by a major. To me its unbelievable to get comments like stay in school and use spell check. Give me a break. I'm surely not out to impress anyone here, just looking for some help as I would give if I had it.

That being said, does anyone have a phone # or E mail at Net Jets worth while to verify the status of my application?
How noble of you, you are sacrificing your seniority at a major to give some poor fool a break at a decent job, but then come to NJA to deny some younger guy who could use a break the same privilege. Don't feed us that hogwash.........

If your definition of an idiot is one who asks a simple and not offensive question regarding your motive for quitting your current gig, then I would suggest that NJA is not the place for you. You need a fair amount of patience and some better customer service here than at the crumby airline you must work at.

Thumbs down

You should all be ashamed of yourself! A guy asks a few simple questions and all you people do is criticize his spelling and career decisions.....are all of you so smart and wise that you have the right to make those comments. You people act as if you know everything about the past, present, and future of this business. If this gentleman wishes to fly biz jets for NJ after he feels his career with the airlines is finished, good for him. I believe he has earned that right, and should receive the respect he deserves from everyone in the flying community. Lets not forget, each and every one of us will be in his position one day.
All of you need to grow up!

P.S. If I misspelled anything, I will tell you in advance I dont give a cr@p.

Well put captscott. Maybe some are afraid that with his qualifications, he might just get the job over someone with less. I think that is as it should be. I can't imagine starting over after finishing a long career, but that's his choice. Maybe he has family medical bills to pay, or maybe his spouse just wants him out of the house. He came here for help, and if you can't give him any, at least don't denigrate him. He at least deserves our support. As the character in the movie "Bambi" said "If you can't say something nice about someone, don't say anything at all".

i just got an email from them that said it was accepted and that i was in a pool of applicants to be accpeted for an interview. my buddy says there are 10000 apps , written on file and that they are hiring 30% of interviewees right now. it was down from 70% or so. he just back from recurrent and the info was fresh.

(notice i left a owrd mispelled) this will probably rattle the cage around here.) PM me and i'll send you the lady's email

CAPT DOUG: Lots of room in the fractionals for you. It's a great gig, and lots of retired guys are coming over. Netjets is certainly the top of the heap, but Flexjet and Citation Shares are other strong options. Give them a look as well. (Flex's new pay scale starting May 1 is very appealing.)

I know that many people have posted this, but I got a "app accepted" letter on Nov. 9. Haven't heard anything since, does anybody know about how long the process is taking? I friend who was in class a few weeks ago said they were told to tell all their friends, who meet their requirements, to apply because they plan to hire a ton! To all of you who work there, have you heard the same thing? Thx

There are NOT 10,000 resume or app's on file! I had a conversation with a marketing person and they are about to start a campaign to attract more pilots...if there were 10K app's why would they need to do that?

If you want to work here...apply and you will be up against some great applicants but you will be given the same consideration. If you have the mins...you are competitive.

Great place to be....really great.
