I received an email from Derinda today stating my application has been recieved and they will contact me "if selected for an interview." Does this mean I am in the "interview pool?"

I am hopeful that 3- 5 months will be an accurate estimate..I have heard it may be pushing 6-9 months though. Looking forward to the opportunity to interview when the time comes.

That's all you can do bud, just be ready. Does the email say "please do not reply", if it doesn't, reply to her email and thank her. Don't forget to mention how much you're looking forward to flying the line at NJ.

My friend got the same email you got (4 months ago), he's got 3000+ Dash 8 PIC and I wrote him a nice letter, nothing yet. oh well.

good luck to you

I have a couple of friends who did the exact same thing... now they're kickin' themselves for not jumping aboard back in the summer when I first forwarded them details of the then yet-to-be-ratified TA.

I got the same email today from Derinda. You think it is appropriate to write a thank you note? All my email said was no calls?

You can usually find good resume/interview books at Kinko's. It tells you what to do in every type of situation, if you received an email, a call, an interview offer, nothing, etc. You don't even have to buy the book, just stop by, look at it and get an idea.

I don't see any harm in writing a short "thank you for your consideration, I'm looking forward to blah, blah, blah " email or letter. But that's up to you.

good luck
