Here's a great article from the SF Chronicle about our CEO:

PS. Maybe my original post was a bad prank. Forgive me comrades!
Bad prank?!? That was a very well written post and had lots of details about our company that probably shouldn't have been posted (if true) on a public msg board...

I think a "bad prank" might be an understatement! I would have PM'ed you if you had them turned on...

I honestly hope it was a prank and that you didn't just get the call to join our team; then change your view of our great company, like Cylde said you would.

what happened to the other job that has better longevity than XO?

Unfortunately, once you put it on the internet you can't take it back.

So I heard that XO has now taken delivery of a couple of more Challengers. (?)

Any new word on the domestic hiring front?

XOJET expands fleet, delivers record Q1 financial results
PR Newswire

Business aviation leader XOJET, Inc. announces its first 2010 deliveries of two Bombardier Challenger 300 jets. These new deliveries join XOJET, Inc.'s current fleet of Challenger 300 and Citation X aircraft. These deliveries of customized Challenger 300s occurred during the strongest financial quarter in XOJET, Inc.'s history.

In January, XOJET, Inc. experienced strong demand for its services resulting in a 31% increase in flight hours year-over-year, outpacing industry growth of 7%. XOJET, Inc. continued its strong performance in March with its most successful month to date and expects to continue to build on its first quarter momentum for the remainder of 2010.

"Last year's market turbulence forced people to evaluate new aviation solutions, which worked in our favor," explains XOJET, Inc. CEO Blair LaCorte. "We are able to adapt to the market because our business model is flexible and offers our customers a customized portfolio of products in real time. We continue to add fresh talent to our team with the notable addition of Ben Murray, former EVP of NetJets Inc. and CEO of Executive Jet Management, who was recently named president of XOJET, Inc."

"These aircraft deliveries illustrate the demand for XOJET, Inc.'s services and the strength and efficiency of our business model," according to Murray. "We offer a hybrid business model that combines on-demand charter along with membership programs without the capital investment required by many other firms while offering the highest level of customer service and precision in the industry. Further, we plan to continue to add planes during 2010 to meet growing demand for our services."

Just had a round of interviews a few weeks ago and a New Hire class started last week. There are 7 new pilots coming online that are in class right now. 2 more Challengers are coming next month, I think... I'm assuming there will be some more hiring at the end of Summer.

They are staying white with the XOJET logo on the engine... Evidentally all the owners really like them all white?!? It keeps getting great reviews. They have grown on me now and I kind of like them also.

Do they like the extra "window"? What's up with that?

New ones don't have them anymore... I think it was "jet" envy on the first couple, lol!

Is XOJet a fractional or a charter company... or both like CitationAir has become?? CEO LaCorte says his model is different from fractional because XO owns all their jets. Yet this thread often refers to XOJet as a fractional. Seems its more a charter company offering memberships and guarantees.

Its both I guess... More like a charter company that is selling memberships, guarantees and cards now. Its definitely a hybrid model that all the "fractionals" are doing now, besides Netjets.
