Off topic from furloughs and recalls, but I have a stupid/small question that has just been floating around my mind. If any of you guys can answer to satisfy my curiosity--that'd be great.

For you guys lucky enough to be on staff at CitationAir:
Do they let you choose your base?
and what hotel brand do they put you up in during your tour?

Not sure about the hotels but I do know that you are hired into a specific base.

Like Tweet said, you are hired for a base which you must live within 2 hrs of driving time. Company books your hotel, they will vary from place to place. Standard is Hilton type hotels.

You can choose any of the bases listed on the fractional page here and you have to be 2 hr driving time based on map quest or google maps etc. Hotels are typically pretty nice, mostly hilton or marriott properties.

Default CitationAir purchase of Challenger 300's

Any words on the purchase of 25 Challenger 300's? Saw this on APC Home page.

CitationAir only operates Citations. They are wholly owned by Cessna Aircraft. They do not have Challenger 300's on order to the best of my knowledge.

I checked the APC home page and could not find what you are referencing. Got a link?

Under Fractional: Under CitationAir the quicktake update as of Nov 9:
•Citation Air purchased 25 Challenger 300s with options for 50 more
•All pilots fly 7 days on, 7 off schedules
•Cessna owns 100% of CitationAir
•CitationAir began as CitationShares in 2000
•This page last updated: Nov 9, 2010 (quicktake)
Like you stated only Cessna products thats why this struck me as out of place, also checked around and could not find any other info on this order.

I saw it there after your original post. I think it was placed there erroneously.

Sure that would be a conflict of interest, pretty much competing with the XLS+.

Huh? The 300 volume is 860 cu ft vs 461 cu ft of the XLS. Range is 1,600 NM vs 3,100 NM. Big difference I would say.
