Familyman, I think CS did u a favor. I think u will be much happier at Netjets. I'm waiting for an interview at Nets myself. I guess honesty in their employees is not that big a concern for the CS hiring staff, as long as u tell them what they want to hear.

Familyman, What AC did you get and when is your training date if you have not started already? I'm in the oct 9th class and got the encore based out of LA. Do you think that NJA will be better than CS? I am lucky to have gotten on with NJA and it will be better than any other place that I qualify for. I'm counting the days.

on the road and talked with a senior pilot and he says they plan on hiring
500/ year for the next few years. They are just really backed up right now and I know it is extremely frustrating. I feel your pain. But just hang tight.

Personally, I like both CS and NJA for different reasons and I'll tell you why.
Citation Shares has quick upgrade times, meaning you can be captain making
lots of dough in less than 2 years. You have more domiciles to choose from.
The CEO seems to take care of his employees and I think uses NJA as a gouge.(To me, I think that is smart) He apparently doesn't want his employees to unionize and why should they if he is paying almost the same as NJA.
NJA has longer upgrade times but we have bigger planes, more vacation time,
better health insurance, excellent 401k. We have a union. And this again is very personal. Most people either love unions or hate them. Personally, I am glad that we have one. CS doesn't have a union but from talking w/ CS pilots
on the road, you get a sense that the CEO really takes care of them. I get the feeling it is a close knit group of great people. But because there are only 350pilots vs. 2,500 pilots at NJA, I think there are more politics involved at CS. I think if the big wigs at CS like you, you will
love it there. At NJA, you feel more like a number. Personally, it is nice to be a number because I am burnt out from working at small ma and pa companies
that require a lot of politics. One last thing, at NJA, there are only 5 domiciles but you don't have to move. You can live wherever you want as long as you
are on time for work. It may require a long commute. At CS, you have to live within 90 miles of one of their domiciles. However, there are lots of domiciles to choose from and you can change them at any time.
CS requires you to pay to get to your interview. NJA foots the bill for everything. In the long run, you will make more money at NJA and the bennies are a lot better.
I hope I am being fair to both NJA and CS. I want to give the whole truth and nothing but the truth. One thing, I think CS is afraid of hearing is that you
have applied to NJA because they fear you will leave. Do I think it is fair? No. But honestly, if I were the CEO, I can understand his position. Who wants to pay for someone to get typed, only to see him walk. Although, honestly, if CS would have hired me, I would've been loyal to them and
stayed. I hope my .02 has helped. They are both great companies and it
really is a personal decision. When I first got the news that CS didn't want to
hire me, I was crushed. But now that I am w/ NJA, I thank the Lord. We do
not have to move and in the long run, I think we will be much happier.

I tried sending you a pm but i don't think you have enough posts. It will probably be a few weeks but don't worry. As long as you got the acceptance e-mail, you will be called in for an interview. Just sit tight. PM me and I'd be more than happy to talk with you and give you some more insight.
