They aren't looking for anything specific. It's always better when you have more Multi or bigger birds like KA's. SIC's have been hired with a myriad of times and experience.

BP51 can jump in and add more if he likes.

Sorry for the delay gents, I was off the grid for a few days.

We don't have a ME requirement for SIC's. We are however restructuring the minimums for new hire and current employee upgrade minimums. Too early to say but, King Air 90 Captain will probably be in the neighborhood of 500 hours ME.

Hope that helps

Wow that seems kinda low.

BP51, It does, thanks. Resume sent in Saturday night, keeping my fingers crossed.

I'm sure it's been asked and answered many times, but there are too many pages to go through, where can a new hire expect to be based? What is SIC pay? Does it vary with different aircraft? Also, do they run two pilot crews on the C90's?

Thanks

From what I remember,

They hire and interview for distinct bases. You will not be hired then expected to move to base. 36k is SIC pay for all aircraft. I believe that most c90 flights are crew except maybe some repositions. The customer may have preference for crew or single pilot?

I'm sure I'll get corrected if wrong...

Gjn290,

Muredhawk, had most things right. Yes, staring pay for SIC's, all aircraft, is 36k/year. We interview for the specific base and aircraft. For example, when you receive a call from us, we'll say we have an opening in Tulsa for a King Air C90 PIC. Make sense?

As far as single pilot in the C90, it is customer preference. Company wide, I would say we operate the C90, 60-70% crew with the rest being single pilot.

It's really one piece of the puzzle. Just because a pilot has 500 ME, doesn't guarantee him/her a Captain C90 position.

Ditto on this!
There are many factors to whether a guy/gal is ready for the PIC spot. Having 500 vs 499 multi is definitely not the deciding factor.
One has to have the knowledge base, aptitude, attitude, skill set and confidence of the mgmt team to move into a PIC role with such low times.
