Ditto on this!
There are many factors to whether a guy/gal is ready for the PIC spot. Having 500 vs 499 multi is definitely not the deciding factor.
One has to have the knowledge base, aptitude, attitude, skill set and confidence of the mgmt team to move into a PIC role with such low times.

Hey guys, any idea what the future hiring at EAS looks like. I applied about 18 months ago and got the interview but not the job. This was clearly my loss as I have a couple of friends there that have nothing but good things to say.
Any how, just curious what the future looks like as far as company needs.

People seem pretty happy there.. The only complaint I ever saw here from those pilots was the schedule. Where are they leaving to in such numbers?

I have not heard of anyone getting and interview more less an offer from a major. I could be wrong though.
The last few destinations I know of were 91 gigs or CAE.
The sked is not for everyone. I always told people that you will work hard but you will have fun and not worry about job security. A change to the sked would be very beneficial, but I am unaware of any talks to make that happen.
People will always be dramatic and over state the "number of people leaving".
The EAS pilot group has from 55 pilots when I was hired 2 yrs ago to 80+ pilots now.
