I'm not sure, but I thought I'd heard that the FOs that transfer over have gotten the average pay (not sure if it's first year average or average by years of service) that the guys directly hired there get since the letter of agreement forced NJI to give the union the W2s to make sure the letter was being complied with. I believe that the average is around between 65 and 70K, but it is still going to be less than a captain slot at NJA. They also don't get the per diem money like at NJA where we get catered so much and end up getting to keep most of the perdiem. I would think the money isn't why they chose to go over- the different kind of flying they do is more interesting to a lot of people. I'd do it if my wife made a bunch of money or I had some other descent source of outside money.

I hear you on the drive Aviv, thats a bad bad deal. I hope uprgrade at NJI is 10 years, right now guys going over have been with NJA for 11 plus. I think by time the contract rolls around NJA and NJI will be one big disfuntional family. only time will tell
