Wish I had a nickel for every time I've heard that over the last 4 years.

I wonder how many furloughees will come back since airline hiring is getting cranked up.
If the number of NetJets' pilots who have asked me for a letter of recommendation to Delta are any indication, there are going to be a lot of folk leaving NetJets as airline hiring continues.
The bottom line: NetJets works pilots a lot harder, and pays a lot less, with virtually no advantage to longevity. A 20 year NetJets pilot flies the same trips as a new hire...forever.
I suspect NetJets is trying to get in front of the avalanche with this recall.

There are still a lot of furloughed NJA guys under employed so this is going to be very welcome news for many in the initial recall. I got lucky and ended up at a company your's will possibly buy someday, but if it weren't for getting lucky I would be jumping for joy at the hint of a NJA recall..
Great news for many needing it

I know NJ is not paradise but by going back I will work 10 less days a month, make 20k more a year, with free health insurance and live wherever I want. I know a lot of people bettered their careers in 4 years but for a lot of us, we just treaded water

This is definitely NOT the case. NJs doesn't care if all the furloughees left for another job; they actually would prefer it. When we come back, we will be on a higher pay scale and have to do all the indoc and initial training over again. It would be cheaper for them to start from scratch with new hires. They are just really busy and actually need to recall pilots to get all the work done (supposedly mostly due to "attrition").

I have no doubt pilots will go to NetJets.
Is NetJets re-calling due to expansion, or attrition? Did it say?
If it's due to expansion, that's good!
If attrition, then they are losing experienced pilots who are heading for greener pastures. That would be a sad commentary on NetJets.

I'd guess the returning guys are on an indefinite timeframe for upgrade.. Could be looking at least another 10 yrs which will put many in the 15+ yr upgrade
