For the 8/6 schedule, do you add a day on each side for commuting? so it's really 10/4?

No. You commute on day 1 and are sent home on day 8.

Thanks in advance for your comprehensive replies..
Plan 1 month from indoc to checkride. Location depends on aircraft type; either Morristown, NJ or Dallas. Packing for 8 days is easier than it sounds. 2 uniforms and a couple sets of street clothes (and of course fresh underwear for each day, lol). You can be reimbursed $5 each rotation for laundry, but it is rare that laundry needs to be done.

1 mo straight? How do you like the job? What’s your ‘typical’ day like?

Much appreciate that. I would think 4 days in the same clothes would get a little ripe. Not to make light of it. Especially after hot nasty days. During the training, you pretty much polos and Khakis, clean jeans? No fetish with clothes here. Just a long way back to SAN if I need more. Appreciate the chat..

Be aware most of DPJ's flying is east of the Mississippi River. That means a lot of transcon flights on day 1 and 8 to/from home. Not a big deal for some but others hate the early show on day 1 and getting home late on day 8.

Do you get any delta/hotel points from traveling? Or since they are delta you just get a seat without getting the points? Thanks.

Thanks. Have heard that. Might have to bite the bullet for awhile until I can get back on the recency spectrum..
