We’re speaking out because we believe, whole-heartedly, that this TA will collectively worsen our pilot group’s QOL and long-term financial goals. We believe that this will also negatively impact the airline’s ability to retain quality pilots, further impacting the airline and its pilots in terms of both financial well being and QOL.
We are speaking out because short-term monetary gains are no excuse for a reduction in work rules. These work rules have been gained through years of hard work and fighting. We need to think long and hard about giving them up for an industry bottom salary.

I honestly and truly think the reason that you don’t see more people saying yes is because of the actions of some on this board. This truly is an echo chamber for the No vote. how can you have a discussion when only one side talks?

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with speaking out about what you believe! The problem is when speaking out becomes directly insulting or ridiculing someone who doesn’t have your same beliefs. Not everyone has to agree on what’s best for everyone, but what shouldn’t happen is an emotional reaction that leads to the putting down of a fellow pilot just because he doesn’t agree with you.

Anyone read the section on worker’s compensation?
The company can force you to perform other duties on behalf of the company. Years ago when I was hired, the gentleman manning the reception desk was one of our line mechanics. He had been reassigned after injuring himself on the job.
Can you imagine what might happen if you’re a commuter who has been injured on the job when F9 decides they want you in base for desk duty?
Loose contract language can ruin your career.

Correct, it is identical to the word.
“The Company may require a Pilot to perform modified duty, as defined by state law, while not able to work as a Pilot. While on modified duty, the Pilot shall be paid the Monthly Pay Guarantee he would have been paid had he not suffered an occupational illness or injury.”
I saw this at a previous airline, but it is rare that the company wants to pay a pilot monthly guarantee to push paper. I think they’d rather have you off payroll and collecting disability. Look how long it has taken to build up the Management pilot staff.
Speaking of management pilots, I saw that the vacancy for ORD BCP has opened again; coincidentally after DF was going through upgrade (as he was awarded the BCP position while an FO). What happened?

So when this passes, can I post the same things you posted on the Spirit forum when we voted in our contract?
A sad day for the airline industry. Spirit pilots. From strikers to sellouts. Lost all my respect.
Don’t know why you’re worried. You said yourself that Frontier pilots have more self respect than Spirit pilots and won’t vote any Spirit type contract in.
And no, not “butt hurt,” as you like to say. Just enjoying karma and how it works for loudmouths who have been in the industry for a minute.
I hope the Frontier pilots do what is best for them, but I wouldn’t ridicule their decision, whatever it is, and attack their pilots.

Says the guy who chastised an entire group of pilots for voting in a contract that contains things this TA doesn’t even have.
Karma is a mother.....
