Frontier is NOT Growing
So I have only been at Frontier since late 2016 but I have been suspect of the "growth". It appears to be at a standstill at best. If deliveries in 2018 are equal to those of 2017 and no AC are taken out of service beyond planned retirements, the net gain will be 0.
Looking at the maintenance "Active Fleet" data, there are approximately 11 tail numbers to be retired in 2018. In 2017 10 new airframes hit the property. Obviously, we are NOT growing.
This aligns with the lack of upgrades. And with the CO hiring 100 (at post time) or so FO's this year only to offer COLA to those very pilots.
This is hard evidence that we are being sold a bill of goods.

More important than trolling, however, is the fact that the company has been actively telling pilots during interviews as well as new hire GS that they will upgrade in a little over 2 years. Numbers don't add up.

How are you guys still surprised and upset about the delivery schedule? Don't you realize you can't trust any estimate or forecast they throw your way? Were you expecting a money back promise if things didn't work out like they said? This is an industry of layoffs, mergers, bankruptcies etc. If you came here because you believed in 2 year upgrades or a shiney fleet of new planes you got owned. There were FOs and CAs here not long ago that were on reserve for years. New planes or not I have 60% of the FO list Jr to me and I just started my third year. Way better off than any 08 hire had it. My point is just take a serious look at this industry. None of us ever know what's going on... we just think we do.

Is there anybody that came here in th last 3 years JUST because somebody giving the hiring spiel said they would upgrade in 2 years? Or because we would have X airplanes by 20XX? I came here betting the environment of a new contract would be a place that being a FO wouldn't be so bad if worse came to worse. If I end up being wrong then it's time to reanalyze. Until we have more clarity I don't see the point in constantly complaining. I plan to enjoy my days off, have fun on the road and stand behind the MEC. I'll see how it plays out. Your cardiologist will thank you for taking a few deep breaths instead of trying to predict the delivery and return schedule 4 years out.

Hiatus, quit whining about growth and a two year upgrade that may not happen. Please complain to all of our junior Captains that we're FO's for 8+ years!
