Maybe block hours would be a better metric than airframes on order. I asked about net airframe numbers for 2017 twice during grs last January and the CP answered with our scheduled delivery numbers both times. Who's to say we won't return all non NEO and 321 aircraft?

Guys I've haven't even been here for two years, and they have added around 250 fos underneath me. Yes deliverys can get delayed, lease issues happen. But I don't think the sky is going to fall, and that Frontier has just decided to almost slow growth to a stop.

Most likely because a lot of the non neo planes are realtivly new?

I was told by a credible source in management that growth will be little until 2020. That's when all the returns stop and we will literally start to double in size. It will remain in its current growth state until then. Maybe a net gain of 2 to 3 planes per year until 2020. Also there are new Airbus planes sitting in France waiting for engines. I guess they are having delivery trouble.

Listen up people. Nobody is saying the sky is falling. We are trying to highlight the distinct and evident possibility that the numbers being chirped by recruiters and management types, are suspect. These people have a huge agenda and have even been caught admitting that they find joy in what they are doing to the pilot group. So you have 250 FOs "underneath you", it's just proof that putting out info that there are two year upgrades and there's gonna be 2500 pilots and 200 aircraft by 2020 will bring pilots in. (Just throwing numbers in to make a point, it's called hyperbole). The fact you say that you don't think "Frontier has decided to slow growth" and that people are falling over themselves to determine how many aircraft we are "getting" proves that the propaganda and carrots work. How do you know that they planned growth? Suppose the appearance of growth is what they need to keep pilots coming was the plan all along. The truth is "WE" don't know. There is plenty of evidence supporting the fact that 2 year upgrades are now a bygone anomaly and anyone coming on property is facing longer stints on reserve. Go ahead and choose your perspective. I'm a little taken aback and sad that during the current climate, "ANY!!!" pilot for Frontier would parrot and perpetuate a management smoke screen. I am skeptical of ANYTHING put out by this ownership and management. Even if I half heartedly believed their stance, I can't possibly think arguing the management's side to show how smart I can be without knowing it to be fact, is a position I would ever stoop to. And that's my 1.5%.

My 1.5% says if you want anything sooner than a two year upgrade then go to DELTA!

Some of you have to realize that Indigo cares about one thing. That one this is making money. They don't care about pilots, they don't care about upgrade times, they really don't care about anything, except making money.
Ok so management is/has been fluffing some upgrade numbers now and or in the past because it attracts some pilots and they need pilots to fly their airplanes.
Why do they need more pilots?
Attrition is rather slow, retirements are few...Indigo WILL NOT hire more pilots than what they plan to need, they hate paying us and they don't want to pay more of us than they have to. The only reason they are hiring a few extra and then offering COLA's is because they do realize that if they don't have enough pilots even a couple cancelled flights negates that pilots first year pay.
Its all a numbers game people. Stop thinking about this like pilots and start thinking like business people.
Of course they want and plan to grow the airline. The airplanes are already stretched about as thin as they can be, they have to add more. With profits well above 12% and CASM well below 6.0 cents these two metrics will continue to improve with more aircraft and more routes. In addition to that, the revenue improves immensely. They want this cash cow funneling 2 million a day into their pockets yesterday.
